Casino Splash Pages...Is it just me or...

I don't know if this is just me being pedantic, but if there is one thing that drives me around the bend - it is when I login to a casino affiliate program and cannot find a tracking link to the main home page of the site.

The trend these days all seem to be splash pages, but I find that being a gambler myself - I don't like to just be lead to a splash page which tells me about one promotion and to read more about the casino I have to sign up or download. No other option.

I like to look through the site, read about the games, look at the deposit options available etc. before making a decision to download or signup.

I realize that the casino's intention is to get the player signed up as quickly as possible, but I believe they are losing more players than they are gaining by the use of these splash pages.

It has become such a serious issue for me now that I simply will not promote a casino that cannot give me a tracking link directly to their home page.

Yes, The splash pages do work if you are promoting a specific promotion for a specific slot game, but affiliates like myself who have a number of sites to maintain - simply do not have the time to promote specific promotions which inevitably have an expiry date.

What do other affiliates think about these splash pages?

I agree with topboss. I find most of these splash pages to be very poor in quality and also feel they do not instil a sense of trust in the visitor.

I feel a quality looking splash page should offer the visitor two options, one being an option to visit the main casino page and the other option being a link to the sign up page.

The perfect solution, however, would be for the casino to have a frame within their main page that is capable of auto detecting the geo location of the visitor and offer the current sign up bonus in the correct currency for that referral.

Only a few of the casinos that I deal with offer this solution.
