    Default Chat Room

I reckon a chat room would be a good idea here at GPWA - y'know, somewhere for gpwa mods, affiliates, casino reps and guests to talk about whatever... could generate some good contacts/ideas.

In fact, I thought we used to have one? That might have just been a dream. Anyway - chat room, yay or nay. I'd create a vote poll if I could be arsed.

I would second a chat room being added to the GPWA.
I would be active in it I am sure.

A domain forum I used to quite active in had a chat room and it certainly was flowing every time I participated. One of the main problems however was that a lot of good advice and discussion was lost in there - when it could have and should have been on the forums for everyone to read and reference.

Agreed however, a chat room would certainly not be a bad addition.

Another idea is you could have a public chat room associated with different forums to keep the chat on topic?
Just an idea...That way everyone can chat about what they want

Davemerry has made an excellent point - and one I hadn't considered - that it could take discussion away from the forum. This understandably wouldn't appeal to those in charge at GPWA.

A chat room sounds like a really good idea, but it would have to be a general chat room. It would be hard to have a chat area for each section. Might be a good way to chat with affiliate managers if you have any payment issues

    I would use one also.

$10 says that we would get: "Hey, check on this amazing site......" Every hour or so in the chat room.

Davemerry made a good point too with information being lost and forgot if anything that was of value was talked about.

Haha, could even have topic nights such as, SEO Monday.

You got my vote for a chat room as well.

While this might kill some of the participation in the forum, it doesn't have to be that way.

Sure you might get a faster response in a chat room, but it will be very limited to the participants in it, on that current hour or day. As for a forum topic, it can be viewed by a larger audience and hence you might get a better response and all.

Anyway I believe it can be a good feature to think about. The only thing I would worry about is arguments, insults etc, stuff that generally happens in chat rooms when people disagree.

In recent months we seem to have seen a fair few aggressive posts in the forum agreed?

Although a chat room is a good idea wouldn't it open up the opportunity for slagging matches?
