The BEST documentary I've seen in my life. It was short but detailed and very well done. They explain everything that needs to be explained and kept their main purpose to inform people rather than change the history for money or more audience.
Even with this, is incredible we still understimate what is capable a goverment to preserve their position.

This mini series is great. Very detailed and gives a good overview of the story. I knew about the incident but this gave a good insight of the process.

very interesting series and extremely realistic. I have heard many stories about this stage in the history of the USSR. a very scary stage. I wish everyone would never experience this

I like it, but in my opinion it was a bit too exaggerated, I'd love to watch a documentary movie about Chernobyl, let me know if you can recommend something

I watched the Russian version, and then I watched the USA version and I can say that both films were shot perfectly and they are interesting to watch. It was a big disaster, which is remembered to this day. I advise everyone to view.

This mini-series was filmed simply amazing, for the first time I was not scared by a horror movie, but a film associated with such a disaster! Atmosphere, actors, still goosebumps

I completely forgot about this show! I have to give this a rewatch. I would highly recommend this show to those who haven't seen it yet.

Chernobyl was an amazing show and it was a stellar example of hjow HBO can maximize a show to its fullest potential. A lot of people know about the Chernobyl incidents in the past but this show gave us a closer look and was amazing to see. It was also a also a terrifying glimpse into what happened to the people in the city in the past. It is scary to know that most of these events happened in real life and I hope the people who were affected and passed away there found peace after their lives disappeared.

This TV series is a lie. It does not show the real picture and distorts facts. And the worst thing is that not everything that is shown in this series isn't true, and as a result, it turns out that the lie becomes very convincing. If you want to know the truth, then look at the comments of real people who really experienced these events. Some of them are still alive.

I'm not against feature films, but why do they write "based on real-life", or even more pretentious "true story"?

It's called editorial licence, every story needs a hero and a villain: https://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-48580177

Have you ever been there or talk to people that survived that?

I agree that HBO series are not correct 100%, but in general it shows how the life was in that time. There are not too much info about this tragedy. I like the series, HBO did a great job there. By the way, I've visited Chornobyl Zone 15 times

Artrust do you know such a thing as an interview? Or you think that if you cannot talk to a person, then it is impossible to find out his opinion? And I did not say that the series is bad or bad quality, I said that it distorts the facts, and as a result, the viewer is deceived and does not realize the real picture.

As per interview that can be showed on TV/web Ukraine has a civil war at the moment, but defacto its real war in the east of my country. I do know how exact TV and shows are working here, as currently have side business in this niche.

    Hey!

I loved these HBO series as it's a great piece of art.

It's not a documentary to be 100-true but it's close enough to reality.

Especially because the main goal of this TV series was to show how serious could be the aftermath of lie.

And I think they did an excellent job.

Where do the TV show and the conflict in the east of Ukraine? And listen, I just expressed my point of view, it seems to me that this conversation was created for this. I do not think that controversy on this topic will lead to something useful.
