Send it to Australia so that it can remain AAC - less cost in changing the marketing materials.

    If only!!
The problem is they had 2 conferences here years ago and although everyone said they wanted them, not many people came.
Would be a nice change to not have to travel 24+ hours to a conference, but since most people are in the northern hemisphere I don't think as many people would be willing to do that trip

Renee - i think the main problem is visa problem. Australia and USA is closed countries for many jurisdictions.

Moonlight Cat is right. It's also very expensive to go and have your passport renewed again the last time I checked (last month). Here in Australia, it costs $282 for adults under 75 to have their passports renewed for 10 years. For seniors aged 75 and older, it costs just $182. Nearly half of the normal cost for non seniors. That's a huge difference and unnecessary as most people can't afford this kind of money.

Ah yes I didn't think of that.

Seniors here get discounts for everything, not just passports. And so they should.
$282 is less than $30 a year over 10 years. I don't think it's that much of a cost. If you can't afford a $282 passport you probably can't afford to travel outside the country.

Edit: BTW I'm not talking about you specifically. I just meant in general, in case anyone got the wrong idea.

Visa, travel distance for most visitors and I think Australia's online gambling policy helps neither.

Yeah I probably wouldn't want to come here either considering there were authorities asking questions at LAC.

Amsterdam was great this year a really beautiful city with beautiful people. That being said if I was to suggest somewhere else Sydney, Australia would be cool!

It was (until 2018 ) in Berlin instead of Lisbon.

Pretty nice city and Messe Berlin for sure is a very nice conference hall. Also, hotels are not expensive compared with London or Amsterdam.

But it wasn't that busy last year. It was close to SIGMA, but perhaps also Amsterdam/Berlijn is a bit too much of the same (markets).
