It is fast becoming nearly impossible to effective review many many online casino properties.
Any casino property that use geotargeting and IP checking to redirect restricted countries or US States they can not service has made our jobs very difficult.
Many of us as part of our every day promotional activites write reviews of the casino properties we market. A natural part of the review process is to actually VISIT the sites we are trying to review.
There are litterally a few casinos which we may have no other choice but to stop marketing them because we can no longer update our pages with current information.
In many cases, we are unable to see current bonus information, review terms, review the loyalty and VIP Programs, find out more information on upcoming tournaments and special promotions and on and on....
Yes, thank you for supplying us with this ever so vital information by email blasts and newsletters, thanks for the offers of supplying us the casino websites on cd, (the problem with that is that by the time many of us recieved the cd's the casino sites would have been updated and thus the webmasters would have been supplied with outdated information).
NOTHING can or will replace sitting down and visiting the casino and reading the terms, promos etc EXACTLY the way our visitors will see it when we send them to your property.
US Webmasters can not visit and view many Playtech's and some RTG's. US Webmasters in some states can not visit and view some Microgaming Properties. And webmasters from a different set of states can not visit certain skill gaming properties.
We need a solution!
I have discussed this issue with a few of my fellow webmasters so we have decided to post this issue publicly so that we may find a solution that would suit everyone.
One suggestion has been made to have the developers create pages on the affiliate sites that pull the casino sites into IFrames without the IP checking so that we may view them. (this would mean the IP of the affiliate sites IP would be seen on the casino not the webmaster's) We are not sure if this is a viable solution, so this is a perfect time for discussion.
Come one, come all, be that one affiliate manager or webmaster to come up with a solution that will help all webmasters and all affiliate programs.
