With a week to go until Christmas Day, Coral bookmaker has witnessed a surge of festive flutters across the nation. Alex Ferguson’s autobiography has been backed into 1-2 from even money to be the top selling book this Christmas, while Jamie Oliver’s latest book is next best at 5-1.
Call of Duty: Ghosts is the massive odds-on favourite to be the number one video game at 1-9, ahead of FIFA 2014 at 7-1, while Eastenders is 1-3 to be the most watched programme on Christmas Day.
Meanwhile, X Factor winner Sam Bailey is the hot 1-4 favourite to land the Christmas number one spot, ahead of AC/DC at 6-1.
“It looks like it will be an extra special Christmas for Sam Bailey, Alex Ferguson and the cast of Eastenders, as they’re all odds-on to top their respective charts. Betting on the Christmas number one has proven to be the most popular market, after Sam Bailey’s debut single went down a storm last Sunday,” said Coral’s Nicola McGeady
