content thief! (caught and resolved)

[xecutable]

This website belongs to one of the GPWA members here. I know who it is, cause he used to message me asking about tips, pretending to be a new affiliate. Later on I understand he has been an affiliate for quite some time. Copied my menu layout, like wording and stuff, but I was like whatever.

Today I get a pingback on my preview: http://e-sportbets.org/arsenal-v-tot...ber-27th-2014/ from
http://mostwantedbets.com/arsenal-v-...ber-27th-2014/.

Seriously? Didn't even change the layout, the colors, the bold parts, the banners, the linked keywords. Nothing at all.

P.S Another 2 articles were just copied: http://mostwantedbets.com/liverpool-...ber-27th-2014/ + http://mostwantedbets.com/sporting-v...ber-30th-2014/.

Original locations @ http://e-sportbets.org/sporting-v-ch...ber-30th-2014/ + http://e-sportbets.org/liverpool-v-e...ber-27th-2014/

His GPWA profile is: https://www.gpwa.org/member/casinorecommender ---> Owner of HCorp! The site reads: Part of HCorp Group © Copyright 2013-2014

Now that just sucks. Pvt. members that do that should have their membership status revoked imo.

I got your PM X, and replied.

Posting it here is a good start, will look into this later as well.

Hi Rick,

Thanks. The thread was more to name and shame this member. I've pretty much taken all necessary actions, towards hosts, google and promoted brands.

Regards,

[TheGooner]

Certainly does seem to be a tie-in with HCorp. Possible that the site was sold off and the text has not been altered?
Very surprised to see this and if it is a case of a long standing affiliate simply stealing content then very disappointed in these actions.

I would expect GPWA to be quick on this ...
(and I don't mean the usual 10 point action plan and legalistic discussion that takes us to mid-2015 to get resolved)

[xecutable]

It's possible, but the domain name is still under his name and HCorp. Further more he uses the same author alias on all of his websites. Anyways, if you look at the menu wording, you'd see even more similarities. Right now his tabs have appropriate pages, but when I saw it some 6 months ago, they were just blank pages. I didn't wanna make a big deal of it, cause it didn't really bother me.

I'd expect nothing more, from a guy that introduces himself as a new affiliate, asking me for tips, keywords, revenue information, and then me finding out he's been in the industry for years. Didn't feel like posting all emails either, cause I thought he'd stop there. Apparently not.

I have emailed and sent a private message to casinorecommender.

Thanks for reaching. Please kindly note that the copied content issue is not related with me but the outsourcing company. We have agreed with them for supplying the tips and news and actually I am also shocked personally when I see this result! We will take all of the legal action against them! Please kindly be informed that all of the copied content has removed from the site.

Thanks a lot

[casinorecommender]

Please also note that we have written lots of unique content on site before. And we will continue like this. Please refer to the 46 sportsbooks reviews (all unique) and World Cup tips etc. Sorry for the problems caused by the content outsourcing company!

[casinorecommender]

Btw you can also check all of our sites and can easily see that all of our sites' content are all unique. We hate scam activities and we will take the legal and all other actions against this content outsourcing company.

Good to hear that CR - and very good to see prompt action.

Are you prepared to name and shame the outsourcing company?
I'd hate to get caught out the same way - and it would be good to know who is providing the rip-off content.

[Eddie G]

I would like to know, which company/member is responsible for this. I outsource a bunch myself and would like to avoid stepping on the same rake.

[casinorecommender]

Thanks a lot. For sure. Company Name "FreshInk Co." . Keep yourself away from this company if someone reaches you! Thanks a lot for your trust and support!

[casinorecommender]

We paid them $4,000 in advance for the whole group and thanks a lot for your notice that we have banned their profile from all sites for not making any scam activity on behalf of us! We will also take legal action against them! Thanks!

[xecutable]

Can I have their details. I wanna contact them. I cannot find anything on google about em.

[universal4]

Thank you xecutable for bringing this issue to everyone's attention, as well as staying professional throughout the situation and also to casinorecommender for fast action on dealing with it.

I have edited the title of the thread to reflect that it has been resolved.

I too wouldn't mind knowing what company or individual was responsible for the copying so that other members would not be subject to the same thing on their sites.

This is a perfect example of why everyone needs to be cautious at the very least when outsourcing any content generation.
