Default Coral changing terms to include negative rollover

Just got an email from coral affiliates, 'helpfully' they don't actually say what the changes are, but pretty sure this wasn't there before

In the event that Referral Commissions in any calendar month are a negative amount, we shall be entitled (but not obliged) to carry forward and set-off such negative amount against all future Referral Commissions until any such negative balance is set-off in full. We shall also be entitled (but not obliged) to “zero” the negative balance that would otherwise be carried forward.

Seems that they're giving themselves the option but not expressly saying that they'll automatically carry over negatives. Sure I've read similar on programs that don't (currently) carry forward negatives, however accepting the terms clearly means that they can and potentially will. Needs a bit of clarification IMO.

Yeh always a little worrying when stuff like this gets put in the T+Cs. Coral have been great with affiliates on the whole so let's hope it remains that way.

One of the best.. No hassle, never late on payments, very reliable all around. Let's hope they don't change.

Coral are a fair program and do pay on time.
We don't do particularly well with them these days in terms of signups - probably a saturated reader-base on our part.

I was disappointed with this email though which simply linked to a complete new set of T&Cs without summarising new items (ahem) like negative rollover. Is it too minor to mention directly? What's the thinking here - just sneak it through?

That's pretty weak affiliate management whichever way they were thinking - it's a major affiliate term change.

yeah I did ok with them over cheltenham too, leaves a sour taste in the mouth, especially when they don't even tell you if/when you will be subject to it, you could go 12 months with no negative, then get hit by a big winner and suddenly its carried over and you lose all earnings for the next 12+ months!
