A number of valid arguments in this thread, but logic still points toward Google NOT penalizing a site because they may or may not be on a dedicated IP.

Unless you want to follow old seo advice, but then maybe PR is still a factor.

Agree with whats already been said, haven't seen any real value to unique IPs over the years.

The only issues you may have are spammers hosting on the same server (mail/web) and if Google blacklists the IP from indexing which I have seen happen before.

Everything in SEO is dynamically changing Rick. And I always strongly think that Google holds most of the important cards with her and it is purely normal. I even think the same with Sherlock that Google manipulates people for eliminating the seo-based masses.

Yes I use dedicated IP and I believe I get benefits in seo terms.

I did some research and it turns out that if you're on Cloudflare CDN, you're using one of ther 15 blocks of IPs, some 150-200 IPs total, and no one can see your server IP.

I suppose Google knows which IPs belong to Cloudbet. So even if a spam site uses that same IP (and it's likely thousands do) it won't be held against you.

I still think it's a bad idea to share the same IP with spammers on shared hosting. Nothing good can come out of that.

If I used shared hosting, I'd at least plug in Cloudflare to use their IPs instead.

I see. So you recommend me to use CDN (Cloudflare). I have been using it for 3 days last week but I have observed a bit slow loading of the site when compared with the non-cdn version. So I deactivated it. But as far as I see, I have to activate it again. Thanks again
