Do casino awards matter?

Some sites like Askgamblers and Casinomeister are known to award casinos yearly in a few categories.

My question is, do you as a player ever pay any attention to these awards and does it matter to you if a casino has any or not?

I personally would not pay any attention to them, they would not influence my decision in anyway when choosing a new casino to play at. I have read a few stories about Askgamblers, they have given awards to some shady brands in the past. IMO the casinos that have these awards and the affiliate programs that run them, think they have some higher status sometimes and that's often reflected in lower commissions and unfair terms.

Personally I don't even notice awards.

But probably brands are posting this to increase their authority and trustworthiness for users.

As for "Awards and Value" I personally think there are no "indepedent" awards to win in this industry. Most of them (especially those trophies from self proclaimed "authorities") can be won by anybody... depending on their budget...

LOL Askgamblers awards. Just affiliates shilling absolute crap. I remember trying to leave a negative review on their site about GVC which was declined. Their response was we only accept reviews from people who actually work with them. Won't be long till they too are shafted by GVC. Enjoy it.

As for Casino Meister and their whopping few hundred in traffic each month . . . . well....

Most players probably care more about reviews than about awards. It is a smart way for the sites to get attention because the winning casinos mention the sites in social media. Free marketing both for the sites that nominate the winners and for the casinos that win. But how serious and objective the awards are, one may wonder ...

It was reported (here at GPWA) that the incident which seemed to spiked (no pun intended) the fisty-cuffs invitation, was because Lou Fabiano (RIP) and his wife, were ejected from a GPWA function. Lou told Steve Corfman; yes Michael's son, to step outside.

But yes the CardSpike Ruse was both CAP's and Lou's demise.

IMHO, Lou's choice to hook up with Jolly was a really bad idea. That guy is conniving, and couldn't lay straight in bed, if he tried!

Best to not to rely on any such awards, but to do the own research, read the reviews of other players and make your own decision when it comes to choosing the casino which you want to play at.

Such awards do not come free like it was said before so it's kind of a paid marketing. In many cases, even to be nominated for any awards operators have to pay.

I wouldn't pay attention to that, not really. It's based on certain fees and collaboration from what I saw...we do check reviews and rankings on other sites, but we prefer trial and error when it comes to testing a new casino for instance. As to our top spots, that depends on conversion and player value, as well as transparency and close communication with AMs...

Don't really pay much attention to the awards. It is great for some programs and their employees that they get the recognition.
