All the content work and the so-called "on-page SEO" is in my hands and no one is allowed to touch it!
When comes to off-page, links and marketing it's really better to do it slowly and "by yourself".
Of course, I outsource sometimes small short-term tasks. However, most of the "SEO job" I do by myself, slowly and smartly.
The truth is that most of you are pushed for time and want results & income quickly to come.
Well, for those of you that are looking for "big cash quickly" SEO is risky game.
There is no one solution for every site and gambling is very specific niche.

If I were to outsource SEO now, I'll go for those that markets content and help my site increases organic search than doing link building alone. But if you can do SEO for yourself then go for it, because you are in control of the things plus you will be able to monitor your efforts.

For getting results with SEO, must required some things like proper planning, patience, proper knowledge, experience and hardworking. If you can do all the above yourself, so none of better than this but if you have some lacks then you must use proper outsource. There are a lot of companies which provide SEO services even on the half rate then the market. You can definitely guess which type of SEO campaign they are performing. If you want to use outsource then always prefer well known companies after checking the portfolio.

It's bloody expensive to outsource SEO but my main concern is the way they do it. I'm afraid of being penalized or something and ruin all my work

    What is SEO?

Correct page titles, use a H1, use enough content - all of these are easy to implement and a "given" for anyone wishing to make it in the ranking game.

Just look at your competition and decide whether you want to chance buying the links they do.
