Default Do you receive WTF e-mails like me???

    Hi!

Because I made reviews about offline casinos, I receive every day mails from people asking me things like if I where the casino!

They ask me for a job in the casino, they offer me some sampling products, some people ask me for reservation in the hotel, some for information, etc.

Do you receive some of those mails???

    Regards

    Almost...

With my personal affiliate sites we advertise live dealer casinos, on average we get about one CV a week from actors looking for presenter jobs. Some great looking females as well, which isn't so bad .

I had an e-mail from one clown, asking me for advice on which land based casino to visit. He explained in quite some detail what this casino needed to offer, which included (if memory serves me right) loose women, easy to win games, lots of glamour, "like where James Bond would go".

Oh, and it needed to be in Birmingham, UK.

I get these from time to time on a non gambling site - someone asked me if they could rent a stall again this year, no idea what they were going on about!

I've just remembered a story which was probably the most random of them all, not an email, but a phone call. I'm not going to name names, but the Metropolitan Police once got in contact via phone and asked to speak to 'Presenter X' in regards to an assault that had happened a few weeks before. Not Castle obviously, with the aff sites...

I still remember it being early on a Saturday morning and me jumping out of bed scared upon being told the police were on the phone for me!

There is a joke in here somewhere...

I have a cosmetics website and no matter how many times i tell the same people that I do not sell cosmetics, that I just write reviews on them, they are always trying to sell me branded brush sets and other cosmetics. They just don't get it.

They are usually from China. Maybe a language barrier.

I'm constantly receiving spam from chinese manufacturers looking for distributors, to my dictionary site. My lottery site receive emails from often angry people who think that we run their state lottery and have some sort of complaint. I once had a lady complain that "you replaced the guy on the lottery drawings on channel 5 and you need to change it back".

I had a presenter section on my affiliate site, I'm assuming they Google'd his name and thought I was something to do with him. Some people just don't know how the web works!

Yea I get them occassionally too.

In fact since I live in a 3 bedroom house and I use the third bedroom as an office I am considering moving the desks and parts storage shelves out into possibly the dining room and putting another bedroom set in there to handle more guests....

Don't forget, staying here allows you to gamble from bed....

Ooops, I gotta go I have a late checkout today....

A member of my team once wrote an email to an affiliate, not iGaming but another industry, asking how their weekend was.

    The response?

"Not good. My dog got hit by a car and died in my arms and I spent the rest of the weekend digging him a grave and burying him."

That's about the most WTF email I can imagine.

As you might imagine, CasinoCity.com gets a lot of these sorts of e-mail since we have pages on our website for every land-based casino in the world. The other thing we receive is large volumes of requests for trinkets from the casino. Folks who say they have visited before, and plan to visit again, and would like something nice from us to share with their family from the casino.

Yeah, I've been getting them every few days for months now. Any idea where they have come from and why they've started up?
