Do YOu Think Google is Going Too Far?

You will see a picture of Matt next to the search result. Do you think this is a little too far? Even the grey bar at the top. They are changing way too much tbh.

I have used Google since I was at school and I will always use them, so what is the need for all this change? When I search for stuff I want, I hardly ever even see spam tbh.

His picture linked to his profile on Google Plus - I think they are testing it right now to see how it will look on SERPS.
Google+ is their war against facebook which I think is going to be big.
To be on it you have to get an invite for now as it is on beta atm.

I dont really see what the big deal is? It's also displaying a great job of reputation management form Matt Cutts on Google's behalf. For those of you who dont know what ORM is I will post a link shortly if necessary
