In last week's question of the week I asked about use of the rel=canonical tag by webmasters. You can see that question and poll here: Do you use the canonical tag on your websites?

In response, a couple folks mentioned the rel=next and rel=prev tags, so I thought I would focus on those tags for this weeks question. Google webmaster central on blogspot has a post on these tags here: Pagination with rel=“next” and rel=“prev”

Fundamentally, these tags let you identify a series of pages that belong together as a set of paginated pages. If you have an article split across several pages you can that the previous and next page from each page in the overall article. Or if you have lists that span several pages you can use these tags to indicate that the list is spread across a paginated collection of pages.

So, for this week's poll question I thought I'd ask if you use the rel="next" and rel="prev" tags on your websites? Besides sharing whether or not you use the tag, I'd be interested understanding the extent of your use and whether you've felt it has made a difference on your sites.
