Does Google penalize repetitive Twitter submissions?

I think I may have made a mistake of repetitively submitting my twitter domain. And the reason for that was because it contains the keyword that I wanted to rank for in the URL. So I submitted it each time I tweeted.

Well up until last night, I at least saw it in Google's serp upon typing it in. But now it vanished. Could this be due to multiple submissions in such a short period of time? If so will there be any chance of it reappearing? Also how long does it usually take for Google to rank it with the keyword associated to the URL?

I see that Twitter has a PR9 and always thought that this makes Google rank it quicker and higher than the other sites associated with that specific keyword.

Repeated submits won't do you any harm really, especially on Twitter. The worst that can happen is that Google ignores the multiple entries.

If you want to get yourself to the top of google or even on the first page then there is a lot of work to do, starting with the page content on your website, optimizing it for certain keywords that are rankable, from there you would need a good SEO campaign that takes into account many, many things.

Unfortunately there are a lot of people that think it is easy to rank highly for a certin website but it really is not the case - that is why some companies charge so much to do so, plus Google is always altering their algorythym.

It is actually a good thing sometimes, basically you will be updated. It is a forum bump if you must take a metaphor. If you bump a post up, then you see that thread higher up then one you do not see.

I dont know about Google but Twitter will block you from doing so. Especially those who are abusing the use of hashtags to show up in searches for those tags, just to promote their links.

There is one search I do on twitter and whenever I do it there is one person who has like 10 of the same post show up in my search, all exactly the same text, no matter when I do the search, so I'm sure its repetitive...

twitter is nofollow thus no pr is passed to your website.
I doubt that google will penalise you for multiple submissions but you have to make your tweets look natural.
