    Default Domain Authority Improvements

Hi - can anyone tell me what kind of expectations are realistic for improving Domain Authority. We are relatively new and planning to add much content in the next 6 months - quality content, well researched from good copywriters. Will this push up our ranking, and how much is down to legacy of site (how long domain has existed etc.)?

Domain authority is calculated based on links to your website. Your onsite content doesn't affect it. You need to have some articles published from websites away from your own and social media etc... this is the only way to increase your DA

yes agree with the other guys - a good balance between quality/quantity backlinks (in addition to your content strategy)

DA is irrelevant, there are tons of 50+ Da Sites that onky rank for 10-15 keywords, focus on traffic over any 3rd party score.. and even with traffic, 200 high converting visitor are worth more than 3000 no deposit daily bonus hunters

I second this. Install the moz toolbar to see DA in results pages. You'll soon see that ranking and DA rarely correlate.

You're producing content and that's the most important thing. Just make sure it's content that's going to add value for your users and not just content for contents sake.

I agree with WonderPunter. DA is meaningless if there's little to no correlation between it and ranking in the serps, conversions, profitability, etc.

    Ditto.

I've never concerned myself with these metrics, or worse, tried to inflate them through link/social media strategies. Instead, I invest my time into producing relevant, and highly targeted content. It's the later which has always rewarded me with real-world ROI

Moz says i only have 15 backlinks... what do you think of that? I have seen one pagers with DA to level google sites, complete bull.. just a comfort blanket for those that miss pr... the algo is a complete different animal to the way moz rank pushes their service
