Domains for SEO in different languages?
Hi,
We are planning to translate one of our casino site to foreign language.
Question:
Just example: we planning to translate domain bestslots.com to Sweden language so which way would be better:
1. To add multi language and subdomain to already existing domain: se.bestslots.com
2. To create new website with local keywords and local end: bestautomaten.se
Please, help me

Hi StakeHunters, if it were me, I would go for the first option. Simply because as you said, the domain already exists and is on the internet. Just keep adding to it and building it up from there and you should be alright to go. Good luck!

New website, Going multi is great for small sites.. large sites can cause all kinds of issues with SEO (from experience - not just posting useless answers to gain more links and points on GPWA). Also if one site get's filtered or drops rankings then it's easier to fix, sometimes the underlying problem could be in the foreign language site. I know some larger sites have done this successfully but i'm not sure it was without problems.
Also a SE domain will have that edge for conversions by local searches and even a small boost using a tLD

Although, personally in this case I agree with Wonderpunter, finding and fixing issues with multi sites can be a right pain, keep it simple and separate them.

I think option 2 with the new domain, is more profitable and in Google's "eyes" is more visible.
And Wonderpunter, he explained some important things in a few perfect lines.
Good luck with your new project and hope to make the right choices.
