Question about affiliate portals: auto logout

Hey guys,

just wondering if there are any affiliate managers or other members on here that know why the auto log-out for affiliate portals seems to be set so quick.. like 5 mins or something?

It seems like when I am viewing my stats for a few sites at once, by the time I click back on anything in the first window it's already logged out and need to re-enter my details for most of the websites I'm promoting.

Has anyone else noticed this?
And just wondering if there is a reason behind it, is it for security reasons, just a bit annoying to me to have to keep logging back in and wondered if anyone else is in the same boat..
Would be cool if they had some type of 'remember me' function..

This is probably not Indstry buzz, probably more like general chatter.

Would agree that it can be annoying, but then if you have your banking details accessable, its probably better that they log out quickly.

Might be worth contacting the aff program about it.. It's not a hard thing to change.

ah ok, no worries yeah maybe the best way to do it.

Just noticed it was pretty common to the sites I am with and thought I'd see if anyone else felt the same way and didn't like having to log back in all the time

I find it absolutely frustrating to have to log back in after such a short period of time.. I would be less likely to use a site if that was the case..

At the end of the day if you have to log back in again every time you change pages you're probably going to just use a different program, so it's in the program's best interests to listen to you and extend their session time.
