hello im new in this forum

im building up a new gambling site about poker i have a few questions that could be interesing for newcomers

im affiliated to important poker rooms, my target is modest, i will be glad if i get 1000-2000 us$ a month in net income.

The question is simple: how many monthly visits i need to reach this goal?

1-With a bonus codes site, so with hight quality targeted visits.
2-With a portal with forums, poker articles directories etc, so worse quality of vistis

In the point 1- Whats the fastest way for reaching the traffic amount necesary, of course paying for it but i ignore goods sites to put an ad as search engines dont allow gambling ads.

In the second case i suposse link exchange is the best thing. But are another alternatives avaliable?

i can make webs pages in spanish english and portuguese, if someone find this interesting we can make any deal.

i think there isn't any scientific method to answer to your questions. Everything depends on the quality of visitors rather than the quantity. I can say that a good conversion is when you have a new player every 10/15 visitors, so even a small website can generate a good amount of money.

An easy goal? Not easy....
Attainable? absolutely...

The quality of your traffic will determine your conversions. Any traffic looking strictly for bonuses and free chips generally does not have a high conversion rate.

You also have to find the casinos that convert best from your site. It is different for every one.

If you can get approx 50 good quality unique hits a day it is entirely possible to net two grand monthly.

This the first goal to reach, when i started in 2002 i used to generate 1 real player every 200 visits... LOL But this is normal, don't be scared about this and start working for middle term objectives.

You can buy some homepage links from bigger portals, or try to exchange links (front page) with them.
Also if you like to write, you can create some unique content, like gambling articles, and ask other webmasters (i'm one of them ) to publish them in their websites.

Paolino has the best ideas, I just have a different approach because I am cheap!

Find a couple of off the wall casino keywords that show some results in wordtracker and overture. Do a search on google and yahoo for the term and if it returns less than 1 million results, optimize a page for it. Stay away from the term "free" and the major popular keywords. Yahoo and MSN will pick you up pretty fast.

It sometimes amazes me how much traffic you can generate from different keyword phrases. But online gamblers tend to know what they are looking for and I suspect some of the best converting traffic comes from players that have previously gambled and are looking for something very specific at a new place.

Im thinking about poker rooms not about casinos, as i am a poker player but have no clue about casinos. i made a site yet but it simply is not good enough, im rebuilding it now wich is almost finished, its a site that helps people to build a bankroll offering the more adecuate bonuses.
I am interested in both paying for having a link in a good poker portal and in link exchange. I am not interested in PPC. Gonna take a look in others forum of this site about that matter.

hello paolino nina and company again, im finishing my web, im looking for a site to put and ad not only for the visits itself but because the page rank, my goal is to get at least google pagerank 2. I really dont know how many time is needed to that the pagerank provides to you for a link appears in the search engines, maybe a month or two, a couple of weeks?? i meant when you are linked for a site with pagerank 5 or 6, so a site scanned for bots frecuently.
