Hello,

We have a new client who will be selling electronic cigarettes online.
I was wondering how many of you know about this technology and if is legal in your country to have one and smoke in public places.

Ohio (where I am) gained some strict laws on smoking. Yes, you can smoke the ecigs anywhere because they dont put off smoke from what I am told just vapor. People in the food business and so forth will use them in between smoke breaks or taking a table at red lobster lol

Pre warning however on a side note. Ecigs have been found to actually be unhealthier for you than regular cigs. So from a business stand point I dont see where the market will get any better and as a matter of fact I would think will start to slow down if not fall apart altogether.

Hey there! I had a friend that was selling them here in Costa Rica, and they were a big hit with the people who were trying to quit smoking! He brought like 50 and he sold them all pretty quickly!

I'm in PA and they are legal here. A friend of mine swears by them. He has used them for about a month now with the goal of quitting but I think he smokes more of them now than when he started - ha.

Apparently it works for people who used to smoke more than a pack per day.

I know they sell the cartridges with different amounts of nicotine to slowly take you off and then you can get it with no nicotine.

They are legal here, you can smoke them in smoke free bars and malls.

I know of one person who stopped smoking real cigarettes thanks to these electronic ones... But I also know about 7 or 8 other ones that still smoke regularly even though they tried quitting!

Perfectly legal in California since Arnold removed the ban on them, not sure for the other states. Pretty sure they r perfectly legal in most European countries as well.

In fact they should be promoted, cause although they contain the name cigarette they do the exact opposite of cigarettes, do not harm you and are actually helping you quit.

Yeah it does help but then again, it all depends on the individuals' willpower. I had a friend here who used to smoke more than 2 packs a day. He had tried nearly everything to stop but always had a relapse. We finally convinced him to use the electronic cig and his consumption went down slowly but surely. He's not totally out of it yet mind you, but is smoking only about 5 - 10 per day now and trying to decrease some more.

On the other hand, other acquaintances of mine used the electronic cig when it became the new craze over here but did not follow through because they lacked the conviction.

Although they are water vapour, most of these still contain Nicotine, so they are still somewhat bad for you, just not as bad as real cigarettes because they don't have all the other chemicals in them and you're not pulling smoke into your lungs. Pulling water vapour into your lungs still harms them BTW, just not as bad as cigarettes.

On the other hand, I've quit smoking for 2.5 years now, and if i ever have a craving for them so bad that I actually want to buy a pack, I just take a puff or 2 on one of these and I'm good. I quit cold turkey and have not had a single puff of a cigarette (except in my dreams, which is all too often).

Way to go Renee. I think that's the way to do it. Cold turkey has got to be difficult.

These are becoming more and more popular in the UK and Ireland. Smoking is banned in public places in both countries. You see a few stands in shopping centres, etc, where people are selling them already. I actually bought one for a family member who really wants to quit, but he smokes a pipe and felt the electric ciggy didn't really suit his "image". Is there such a thing as an electronic pipe?

At least in Spain smoking is now banned in restaurants and buildings and now I can take the kids out without them suffering

I purchased one set of the electronic cigarette from Connie about a month or so ago and I find they work great when combined with a nicotine patch. I wanted to quit cold turkey but I turned into a mega bitch and my friends stopped calling me lol.
