Evolution to Formally Sue Playtech

The iGaming industry is about to witness one of its most explosive courtroom battles yet.

Evolution has officially moved to sue rival Playtech, accusing them of funding a covert 2021 “smear campaign” that aimed to damage Evolution’s reputation through intelligence firm Black Cube.

According to newly revealed court documents (September 2025), Playtech allegedly commissioned a £1.8 million investigation that painted Evolution in a negative light, a move that, if proven true, could redefine the limits of competition in our industry.

Evolution didn’t hold back in its latest statement:

It is deeply disturbing to learn that one of our competitors has gone to such extraordinary lengths to damage our business.

What started as rumor has now escalated into a legal showdown with massive reputational stakes.
