    Default expert or xpert?

I've just paid $5 for XpertPoker.com, and that seemed like a cheap deal to me. Free valuator values it at $168, and ExpertPoker.com at $409. I would have thought that there would be a bigger price difference, but these valuation bots are not very accurate anyway.

The main point of this thread is to help me to decide on the main keyphrase push for the site. Should I deprecate "xpert poker", and use "expert poker"? I appreciate that domain names have less importance with the search engines these days, but they are still important for site branding in my opinion.expert

Which Google would you be targeting, strictly the US version, or anything worldwide? Both keywords have a low volume, which perhaps explains why the exact match domains have a low price.

If you are into specific market, I'd go for PokerExpert.xxx at the momeny .co.uk, .org and .info are available. This is totally up to you, if I HAD to choose between the two and your mind is set on a .com domain and you really really want one of those 2, then I'd say go for Expert. If not, I'd definitely go get the .org if you are going worldwide.

I tend to be reactive with domain purchases and registrations. If I see one that looks cheap on the drop lists, then I tend to grab it, and then work out how to use it when I have looked at the traffic. The guy who owns expertpoker, is asking $6721 for it, and that seems to be a tad high to me.

In fact, whilst writing this, I realised that another use for an email flyer would be to use it as a parking page after making a few minor mods. That would give me a chance to look at the traffic stats after a few days.

That I figured. I wonder how he came up with that number though... 721. Unless you'd be branding to the point I dont know ... like sponsoring events and stuff, I'd say it's a waste of money. It's not 1999 anymore, cant see how people justify these prices.

It's to try to get publicity for the sale. There is a guy on a domainer board who has got a Russian city.com domain name up for sale for $8,888,888 - maybe he thinks someone in China will buy it.
