    Default facebook post engagement

If you look at your facebook page you can see in your facebook 'Post Insights' how many people have 'engaged' with your posts. If you click on the link on your facebook page when you are logged in you can get this information.

I am wondering what is the percentage of the people who have seen your posts who have engaged with the post. Engagement is the number of times someone has clicked on your post, liked your post or shared your post.

For simplicity lets just focus on the last 5 posts. For my posts it is extremely small at just 5% when these posts are specifically tailored to the people who have liked my page's main topic.

    How can this be increased?

You have to post something that gets naturally shared and liked. Then it will explode with engagement numbers. Most of my Facebook posts only get 100 views, but 1 out of 30 gets over 4k! They are almost always highly graphic and are usually a bonus offer or something free. Just becuase your posts only get 5 views right now, do not give up.

Its not 5 views, its 5% of the total viewers who engage with the post in some way.

Do you think it is a good idea to include your affiliate company logo on the images or would that make people less likely to share and like the post?

People don't engage with ads, they engage with posts of interest to them. Hide the fact that it's an ad as much as you can.

Coca Cola isn't advertising Coca Cola, they're advertising refreshment.

That is the most powerful thing I have read today. Thanks Dan.

Our highest engagement rate from last week was close to 10% and it came from a post that isn't from our core website/content. Like what most people say here, post something that will organically encourage engagement while being relevant - you might mix your posting with interesting stuff that does not directly promote your business.

Or you can pay facebook for more engagement which is what they really want you to do.

I get more reach/engagement on posts than I have liked, but I've got a highly active Facebook page

For one of my sites, the engagement level for my last 5 posts is even less than 5%! I was under the impression this was down to Facebook clamping down on organic reach, but maybe my strategy needs a rethink!
