    Default Favourite Podcasts

I've really got into listening to podcasts while working and exercising these past few months, far more so than in the past. Aside from sports podcasts, one that I've particularly enjoyed is Steven Bartlett's 'Diary of a CEO' which has some great guests and thought-provoking topics.

    What's your favourite podcast?

I've never seen the appeal of podcasts. My wife had one on in the car once that was related to a course she was doing and I just tuned it out as background noise, don't think I took in a single word... nothing to do with the topic either, I just don't really pay attention to people talking at length.

I suspect I'm in the minority though because they seem to be everywhere!

Dan Carlin's Hardcore History - he is an amazing storyteller, goes into detail on some very little-covered historical topics
Conan O'Brien Needs a Friend - always funny, just love the banter and his quick wit when it comes to literally anything and anyone
Unexplained - interesting stories if you are in the mood for the strange
Science Vs - Just a good light podcast that isn't too long and covers good topics (some debunking, some confirmation)
Huberman Lab - You gotta really want this level of detail, he is a neuroscientist and deals a lot in behavior and psychology, but it is good stuff

Those are my top 5, not in any particular order.

The Huberman Lab. I used to watch every episode, but now I only stick to the ones that cover topics I’m interested in or can apply to my everyday life. I also used to enjoy Lex Fridman's podcast, but I don't know if it was the podcast or me that changed, because I lost interest and now I only watch clips here and there.

I got nothing. It's something that I always think I should get into - but nada.

A long time ago I used to listen to TWIT (This week in Tech) but this was in the noughties.

Listened to some audiobooks on spotify when I was doing a 3 hour return drive once a week.
But since I stopped that - I haven't listened to spotify since.

What's a good website for podcasts these days ?

I only have one English podcast on my playlist, but I used to be really into Darknet Diaries. There are some fascinating cybercrime stories in there. I'll never buy an ASUS router again after episode 5. #ASUSGATE

I use Apple Podcasts but that's more out of convenience as I use an iphone rather than it being better than the others. To be honest, most big podcasts publish across multiple platforms anyway. Spotify is another popular one that's worth a look.

I always like to listen to Apple Podcasts. They have a variety of genres to choose from and some of their podcasts are quite interesting.

I got nothing tbh, if I put a podcast in the background while doing something else, especially while working, I never really catch what they’re saying.

Sometimes I do watch parts of certain podcasts though, like Huberman’s when they’re covering a topic I’m interested in.

I mainly use YouTube. When a podcast is in English, seeing the people talking helps me understand it better (I prefer to avoid dubbed versions), and I think all the podcasts I'm interested in are already there. However, nowadays I feel it's just a matter of personal preference since the main platforms usually have the same podcasts.

Same here, I really like podcasts but I can't listen to them while doing something else. As you, kwblue and NoDepositCasinos said, Huberman is a great choice!

I'm a big fan of "The Tim Ferriss Show". The deep dives into productivity and business mindset are really helpful when you're grinding on SEO projects. ☕

My favourite is probably Acquired. The episodes are long, but when the topic is good they’re seriously worth it. I usually save it for walks or the gym though - if I try to listen while working, I end up rewinding half the episode because I stop paying attention

For an industry-related podcast I watched this today which was quite interesting:
