I was looking to add bookmaker.eu to the network for promotion, however going through their terms I see the following:

3.9. Affiliate is restricted from utilizing derivatives of "Bookmaker" in URLs and directory names for the intention of search engine optimization.

3.11. Affiliate is restricted from optimizing any page of their website(s) for keyword or keyword phrases that include, but are not limited to, Bookmaker, Bookmaker.eu, Bookmaker Brand, Bookmaker Sportsbook, Bookmaker Casino, Bookmaker Racebook, Bookmaker Poker or Bookmaker Sportsbook, Casino and Poker Room in any format. This includes, but is not limited to, meta tags, headers and body content.


3.12. Affiliate is restricted from purchasing or building off-site text links with anchor text for Bookmaker-branded keyword phrases, including, but not limited to: Bookmaker, Bookmaker Brand, Bookmaker.eu, Bookmaker Sportsbook, Bookmaker Casino, Bookmaker Racebook, Bookmaker Poker or Bookmaker Sportsbook, Casino and Poker Room in any format.

Google has several results that do show bookmaker word in their content.

How do they expect the affiliates to promote a brand, when they cannot use their name.

I agree with you. That's unusual. They have too many restrictions in place for anyone to be able to go on.

They have been known to be unfriendly to affiliates, they are an old trusted brand but there are more modern sportsbooks that have now surpassed these old tech old school bookies, you will only see them on a few affiliate sites they seem to be going against technology and still rely a lot on word of mouth.

Okay, but it doesn't make sense for them to have an "online affiliate" system in place, if no one is really allowed to use it.

Perhaps, the use of their name is allowed only for selected affiliates.

I am at DSI, because their AM asked me and I know they are a great bookie. However his approach was/is not good.
It may be just my impression, but they must be losing a lot with being in 20th century.

What they have written in the T&C is probably just some copypasta bullshit from elsewhere which they will never enforce. They are not the types taking shot on players or anyone else; they do not give a f about anything. But that is just my impression.

There is so much confusion around them. I sent them an email, the customer service guy on the phone told me to email also.

Bookmaker/Justbet/BetDSI are absolutely enormous both online and offline. It's unlikely they would come after you for anything like that.

I had an account with Bet DSI which they closed, I never used due to the fact I had to get approval for every new campaign, but it makes no difference to me because I just send traffic to their competition, they have an old base and players generally stick probably comparable only to 5Dimes I have noticed conversions on the old school bookies slipping a lot lately, I think the new generation are starting to take over and soon it will finish up like myspace, back in the day of majority phone bets it was great but things are changing and these old schoolers are sticking with what they know
