    Default Finally Graduation!

May and June is Graduation time.

My daughter is graduating from college this month. She has earned her Bachalor's Degree. Whoo hooo! She's on her way and somehow we managed to do it.

Wait... What??? You want your Masters and then Doctorate?

    Back to the poor house.

Edit to add: Thank you to all of the honest, hard working programs for your part in making this possible!

But really I'm very proud. She not only is graduating but excelled. Some of you know the challenges she had from my membership here. We face each challenge with a big dose of humor and serious determination. She can do anything.

Anyone having a graduation milestone/moment? College may seem a long time away to some of you with small children but graduation from kindergarden is just as thrilling!

If you do have small children, trust me. It never ends.

    Congrats to her!

Which degree will she be awarded with?

Thinking back to uni days I hated it so much. Computer science was boring as bat sh!t. Sometimes now though I think of going back. I did look into a neuroscience degree (can't remember exactly what it was called to be honest) but I would have had to do a commerce degree first then go to medicine, then to surgery which would take me 7 years full time to finish the study before stepping onto the job, so I figured I'm too old for that now. I'm doing small courses here and there to make up for it because I love studying. I started learning Afrikaans about 3 weeks ago so that's my next language on the list - soon enough I'll have 20 of them under my belt

Congrats again! You should be very proud!

    Computer Science sucked big ^%&.

I see it's no different in Aus lol. One thing I do remember is him saying that all addresses will be tapped out on a certain date.

    Hence the new extensions.

Can't see you as a surgeon Renee, sorry.

    A linguist! Most definately.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who hated it..

You know the only reason you can't see me as a surgeon is because you don't hear me go on and on about how awesome the brain and the body work and see exactly how many books I read on the topic. I'm actually quite addicted to it

The most recent book I read was "Elephants on acid and other bizare experiments" - highly recommended

I hope you'll post some photos of your daughter's graduation!

I probably won't put pics here but will send you some via email.

I once again put my foot in my mouth! I have no doubt whatsoever that you could do anything you want. Including medicine! Forgive me Renee. I have no doubt you could excel at that!

    I really was just kidding.

I am currantly seeking a cure for affiliatitis.

    I also have joepsychosis.

Congrats Mojo on your accomplishments of raising a fine daughter and good luck to her in whatever the next chapter of life brings. My daughter is Going to Art School ,she did the Graphics Artist part ,Anime etc and beautiful at Painting ,Drawing ETC.Now she decided she wants to be Curator at a Museum. It means we have about 6-8 additional years of school plus the International Travel Expense as she does these glorious work terms in Europe .She is doing her studies so she will have Art History and Archelogy and probably will have PHD when done.I just hope we still have rev share in the future to pay for all this education !

LOL No foot in mouth there Mojo.. A lot of people couldn't see me as a surgeon. I think it's coz I blab too much
Maybe that's why you could see me as a linguist though.. Who knows, I'd probably go insane as a surgeon. As it is if I don't talk to people during the day I talk in my sleep :S

    Affiliatitis.. kinda like mondayitis?

I will definitely keep my eye out for the photos. Can't wait to see them

Do you guys wear the whole hat and coat thing like we do at grad?
