Another Week - Another Big Winner....

The text below was released by the Coral PR Team last night. I thought that it might make a decent bit of content for any of our affiliates.

Jim Wyatt, a 54 year old married man from Hereford, has won £71,037.40 for just a £1 bet on Coral’s ‘Football Jackpot’ after correctly predicting the results of thirteen football matches.

The first twelve matches took place over Saturday and Sunday, and the final match to determine whether Jim Wyatt’s bet would win took place last night with Wyatt requiring Preston to beat Oldham for his bet to be successful. Preston went two goals ahead but then Oldham pulled one goal back with minutes to play. However Preston held on for a 2 v 1 win that saw Wyatt claim the Football Jackpot.

Wyatt, a medical records administrator at Hereford County Hospital, said today, “I was watching the Preston match in The Herdsman Pub in Hereford, and when Oldham pulled a goal back and the fourth official then held up a board saying four minutes of injury time, I had my head in my hands and couldn’t watch the screen for the rest of the game. They were the longest four minutes of my life and it was an amazing feeling of relief when the final whistle blew”

Wyatt, added, “It was even more incredible to win, as I put a bet on the ‘Football Jackpot’ last week and every one of my fifteen selections got beat!”

When asked what he would do with the money, Jim Wyatt simply said, “I have no idea, but I might start by paying off a few of my bar tabs!”

Simon Clare, Coral PR Director, said today, “It is a fantastic achievement to predict thirteen out of thirteen football matches correctly and Jim Wyatt deserves every penny of his £71,037.40. We launched the Football Jackpot at the start of the season with the aim of giving small staking punters the chance to win life-changing sums of money, and this couldn’t happen to a nicer guy than Jim.”

In total, there were six winning customers of this week’s Coral ‘Football Jackpot’ all winning £71,037.40 (sharing a total win pool of £426,224). Another winner, a school teacher from Stratford, East London, has collected his winnings but declined publicity, whilst the other four winning customers have yet to come forward. There were only 13 matches on last weekend’s ‘Football Jackpot’ as 2 of the intended matches were postponed at a late stage due to international call-ups.
