Belgium gambling market worth almost nothing for an affiliate! After one year working on this niche, I realised that I made a mistake, thinking it was the place to be. The regulation on this country overtax operators!

Gaming tax is 11% and VAT is canceled at the court. I think 11% is one of the lowest gaming taxes around.

You are right. But when you see what kind of operators are there, you will realize the real landscape who is reserve for affiliates (ladbrokes, unibet, ...). This market is small and quite busy with many (bad) operators. In comparison Italian regulated market is much more valuable, and as an affiliate you can make a living.

Yes, most affiliate programs are crappy. Ladbrokes, Betway, Unibet, BWin, Pokerstars and two big parties (Star Casino and Napoleon Games) not even having a program. Gaming1 is ok to affiliates, but a crappy product.

Italy is a way bigger country. It has a population of 60 mio people who almost all speak Italian. Belgium has 11 mio residents. which is divided into 60% Dutch speakers and 40% French speakers. That's a factor 10 or even more.

There should be more competition in Italy than in Belgium.
