I am not an affiliate manager, but I can tell you that I binged watch Dexter. I can't find any good new series lately, so I am watching Dexter all over again.

I totally agree I did not care for the ending of the series.

Contemplating a new series, based on the character, they seem to know what they are doing, as it may be one of the only things they could release that has the potential to get me to subscribe, even if only temporary. I wonder how many others feel that way.

I actually never watch the old ending, but I have been told that after season 3 it gets boring. I am looking forward to the new series

Although I did not like the finale, it did help close a few of the questions, such as what would happen to Lumen, and whether her and Dexter would stay together.

It was also ironic in their personal lives since by then, Michael C Hall and Jennifer Carpenter had already divorced, (a season or 2 prior) and he and Julia Stiles (Lumen) had been in a relationship as well.

They all had claimed Julia Stiles was not the reason behind the previous divorce, and Michal C Hall and Jennifer Carpenter remained friends throughout.

It will be interesting to see if Dexter has flashbacks and memories of "Deb" in the new series, similar to how he would have conversations with his father, and how they would affect his decisions during the original series.

Side Note: For anyone a fan of Michael C Hall, he played an excellent role in the series Six Feet Under which was also an HBO series. Highly recommended for those who like to binge watch series.

That's what we're thinking as well - I don't think the dad is in it any more and there's rumours that Deb will be, so seems like a pretty safe assumption that Deb with be the new Harry.
