Full Time or Part time?

I am curious to know how many webmasters are full time and how many part time.

Mmm yep i think you qualify has a full time webmaster. Same here 16 hours some days, the days just fly by though doing this job so thats a good thing i suppose.

Flexi Time is very important.

I work from 7 till 4 and then I spend time with family and kids. From about 9 till 2 am it's back to the grindstone. I tend to do design in the day and more stats checking and posting on forums at night. That's still 14 hours but the family gets to know Dad a bit.

I have a full time job, so I guess this is part time... although more often than not I will put 40+ hours in a week.

full time... about 14 hours every day...

but, the hours don't bother me... I take some days off when I want or my girl want that I want

The only thing what I do then is checking my mails and sites... that's a must..

it's fun isn't it... ?

Some days full time, some days part time, some days, no time!!

Adds up to about 60+ hours a week.

I sometimes think the work we do is as addictive as the product we sell. I am only part time, but if I really counted the hours, I probably spend more hours on this venture than my full time job.

Funny, I made more from my portals last year than my "day" job pays. Problem is, I really like my day job as well. My husband says it's a pretty damn good part time job!

So, I keep both!

I work on sites about 1-2 hours per day, plus play poker/casinos and visit forums another 4-5 hours. So have some free time too

I spend about 18 hours a day doing this webmaster stuff, and then with all my free time I spend that doing what I really love.....

all this webmaster stuff.

At the moment I work at a full time job from 8am till 5pm. Get home at 6pm - Have a sundowner with the hubby and do the dinner thing and kids homework until 8pm and then back on until 2am.
But...From February I am starting half day at my normal job and will do the websites in the afternoon and evenings . I have just recently moved into offices and employed staff too - so hopefully will be able to have a bit more family time. I have also decided to take an afternoon off per week ...why? Because I can !!!! and thats what I love about this business it makes me enough money to do whatever I want ( within reason ) eg I am going to New Zealand for a holiday in April and hopefully going to Vegas in September. I would never be able to afford that with a normal job.
The long hours are definately worth it.

to those of you that do this full time - how many sites do you run? What I am curious about is how many site's it takes the pull in enough income to live steadily off of..5? 10? more..?

I work fulltime and have done for a while, my main site brings in 99% of my income, the rest of my sites just add to it.

I'm a full time webmaster, not in poker though.

I just started 2 sites to try it out, hopefully I'll make a buck or two

I fix airplanes for 8 hours a day and then it's home to do a little family/household stuff, like shoveling snow

and then from about 8 to midnight everyday working on the websites and checking stats. I'm also trying to learn a little php so there are a few hours on that each week, I hope someday I can quit the day job

If you can't tell from my sorry sites was very very part time.
Full time starts now. =)
