Yes, sorry about that, it's a lifetime fee though.
I need it to keep the site alive as not too many people likes the reciprocal option.
But I think you can afford it, the site has already dropped to a "alexa 7 days rank" of 235,317.

Apparently if you own a new directory try to not fill the option with charge. As soon as it got enough IBL and ranking then that's the time to apply it. Gain enough reputation and visibility first to make your visitors coming back to make more trusted site.

but I guess that 10 bucks is too much for those who don't want to give away backlinks.

What would a resonable sum for non reciprocal submission be? $5?

$5 is not bad. But don't exceed beyond it. A lot of new directory sites having a reciprocal submission with no charge. But as soon as they gain rankings on Google they can now have add charge on all type of listings.

Regular submission set to $5 now, but reciprocal is still free, and I think it should be that way.

That will generate more backlinks for me and give those who don't want to pay for links a chance to get links too.

Right now the featured option doesn't work due to some database error so it's just regular for $5 or free with a reciprocal.

I guess that you're right, all listings are now free.
Let's see if that boosts up the submission rate and make it worth something to my visitors.

Okay you have a niche directory, but it has NO page rank whatsoever. It doesn't even have a PR0 which is the lowest of the low.

I would be AMAZED if anyone paid you even $1 to add their link, as a PR of N/A is either an unclassified site OR a penalised site OR a recognised Link Farm.

There is more chance of your site being detrimental to the linking sites ranking than beneficial.

Not quite correct your statement. You have no idea whatsoever if the site has pagerank or not, what the little thing in the toolbar shows is a snippet of time somewhere between 3 and 6 mnths ago, you dont know whether it has increased or not since

why do you require the link to come back from the domain you link to? i thought triangular links were better for everyone from google's viewpoint rather than two sites merely linking to each other?

@fastermule poker: That has been changed now, it was only a setup option that I forgot to change.

@patmcluk: I have the option to pay $5 for a regular link just because spammers do like free links and I'm not interested in helping John Doe to get backlinks to "The Best Viagra prices on the net - Buy 1 get 10 free".
This directory is only for gambling sites and I can't spend all my time deleting spam.

Regarding PR.. Haven't you heard? PR is not that important anymore, at least not as important as it used to be. Google is crawling the site and as far as I can see it's not been sandboxed or penalized in any other way, it's only a NEW directory and pages get indexed (79 so far).
