Default Global Gambling market will grow 42% in 2012 - source KPMG

    Hi all!

I just have readed an article made this year by KPMG about the gambling market.

I found some interesting things, like the market will (should) grow 42% within 2008 - 2012. And also that the 2 emerging markets are India and Latin America, facing Brasil, Argentina and Mexico the best oportunities.

    You can see it here:

    Thanks for the info Nico.

Yes indeed, as a matter of fact those in the know reckon the online casino industry could grow by as much as 50% within the next five years. I reckon if the US joins the party this percentage stake might be even higher.

I look at it this way. Theres more and more people turning 18 and 21 all over the world and thousands of people getting a internet connection daily who like to gamble. This can only lead to massive growth.

That's true. And considering that massive growth of online gambling audience, chances are higher for the possible legalization of the industry.

@grem: Mobile gambling is now a growing trend in the industry. Royal Vegas and Platinum are now also going mobile.

    Thumbs up

    Thanks for the article

I just read a report that estimates the industry's global revenue to have been forecast to reach $25 billion this year! it's staggering that the tax revenue opportunity here hasn't resulted in industry regulation.

I agree on that, that while the human population is increasing, gambling market increases too. And every time a person got in their legal age, they can already have freedom in anything such as in drinking alcohol, smoking and in actual and online casino gambling. I already heard about this issue a while ago and it doesn't surprise me.
