Default Inside Gaming Affiliates- Closed it's doors

In case anyone is promoting bettercasino.com, betterpoker.com. This casino has closed it's doors. The affiliate program is called Inside Gaming Affiliates and was managed by Income Access. Not sure if I'm getting commission but I've asked IA about it.

    http://www.bettercasino.com

Due to contractual circumstances which are beyond our control, the online casino has been closed. To ensure your real money balance is repaid to you please email refunds@insidegaming.co.uk with your current postal address, full name and username and your refund will be arranged.

    Best regards,
    Better Casino Management

I doubt you will be paid.

I still have outstanding amounts from AusVegas/Lassiters.

If an affiliate program is not small affiliate friendly (especially small US Affiliate), then they are NOT Affiliate Friendly!

Same here Rick. We'll see. Looks like IA should conduct due diligence before just partnering with anybody. I'm being very careful with the IA casinos I promote in the future.

Why do so many programs involved with Income Access fail?

That's why I don't like to work with IncomeAccess. From IncomeAccess brands I worked only with InsideGaming and mFortune, and recently started working with Circus Casino. I also worked with AusVegas, Lasseters, Gold Mobile and many other brands, and all of them were closed.

    Specifically ...

    1) if an online casino is that small and that cost concious that it cannot afford it's own dedicated affiliate team ...

    2) if an online casino is that unaware that branding that it believes it's getting a good unique selling point through 3rd party plain pack affiliate service ...

... then that online casino is probably on a stretched budget and does not have either the vision or drive or the finances to survive a tight period.

Why is Income Access seeming to be a particular jinx?
I can only guess - but I'd wager that they don't charge much for their system, and provide minimal service - thus attracting under-financed partners.

    Hi everyone,<o></o>
    <o></o>
    Many thanks for your feedback.<o></o>
    <o></o>
We work with dozens of clients, many of whom are very successful brands. It’s inevitable that some of our business partners will decide to close their business for a variety of reasons, and affiliate programs would probably have less influence on that decision than many other factors.<o></o>

If you have any additional feedback or suggestions on how we can better handle clients closing, please let us know.<o></o>

Not wishing to derail this thread however, Lasseters is a publicly listed company in Australia and I had success with another listed company here in Australia when I actually contacted the corporate part of the organisation rather than the affiliate/gaming side. Paid within about 48 hours if I remember correctly.

    Hi all,

Many thanks for your comments. Always appreciated and taken to heart.

I just wanted to address a couple of things. Inside Gaming, like Lasseters did not just close down their affiliate programme but their entire online site. You can read the details on Lasseters here, http://lasseters.com/notice.jsp and Better Casino here, http://bettercasino.com/

There is very little we can do in such cases except do our best to try and recover funds to pay both our affiliates as well as ourselves.

Thanks Jarvi for sharing your success with getting your funds from Lasseters. Could you please send me any contact details you may have? We have been liaising with their head office to try and settle all their outstanding payments and have been informed that all will be settled. Just a matter of when. Nonetheless, if you have a faster route, please do share. Would be delighted if we could get all payments settled in the next 48 hours. Rick, Eric, this is a commitment we made to you and others, and we will not give up.

With regards to being jinxed or working with failed programmes, as you know, we work with established successful brands including Ladbrokes, Victor Chandler, Jackpotjoy, Centrebet, Canbet, Bingo.com and many others.

We've also won the best affiliate programme accolade twice in a row at the Bullet Business Awards and also the Best iGaming Affiliate Network at the CAP awards.

Our mandate is and has always been about affiliates. We always strive to provide a professional and respectable service to both our affiliates and clients, and have managed to do so successfully over the past 7 years. Thus, whilst we have our challenges, we are a company that has, and is growing consistently and successfully with over 70 clients and 50 staff operating globally from 4 different countries.

TheGooner, from one gooner to another, I can tell you that we have our ups and downs, but we never compromise on our standards or vision.

We certainly perform best when our partners have internal affiliate programme managers working alongside with us. You guys are a handful.

Jokes aside though, we will do everything to get the funds to settle all outstanding payments and to continue to work with you all. At the end of the day, that's what we are all here for.

Many thanks again for your candid comments. Always appreciate them.

    Kind regards,

    Sarafina

When I ran a similar company about 8 years ago, all my clients had to pay an escrow / deposit = approx 1 month fo affiliate commissions. Just a suggestion.

    Hey Sarafina,

I think that you may have misread my comment - or maybe I was not clear.

Casino groups that are under-funded or not able to devote internal resources to the internet affiliate process are more likely to use a 3rd party affiliate program.

As such - I beleive that it's fair to hold an opinion that casinos and poker rooms are probably on a stretched budget and do not have either the vision/drive or the finances to survive a tight period.

I did not say that ALL Income Access clients are unsuccessful or unfocused or on a stretched budget, neither did I suggest that Income Access is the cause of the failure.

But the programs on Income Access are demonstratably of varying quality and size and should not be assessed by affiliates as equals.

    Hi Sarafina!

Thanks for posting! As I'm sure you know...I genuinely like everyone personally at IA. Plus, the software is practically a part of me

The cause of these failures isn't my business. Whatever the reason- from my point of view it's just very frustrating that this is now the 2nd program i'll likely not be seeing final commission from.

I'm sure you and your team are doing what you can to collect and prevent this from happening again. Please keep me updated.

    Regards,
    Eric

You beat me to it Jack.

I would not like to suggest IA have anything but good intentions and are a genuine and open organisation.

Problem is now that, as has already been pointed out, a lot, (not all) programs that use IA are short of funds to promote in these hard times.

Therefore they are more likely to fail than most, this means that people must feel slightly worried to promote most IA brands for fear of this. After all, how do we differentiate which is safe and which is not?

Now i am not saying that IA are prepared to work with theives and scoundrels at all, but that they are brave enough or willing to take the risks that are involved when dealing with small and ailing businesses.

Can i ask, do IA have in place a saver plan for themselves when a program goes tits up? If so, why not a saver plan for affiliates?

Perhaps a wise thing would be to keep a percentage of all monies for a period of maybe 6 months to help protect all.

This would not scare of programs, it would just force them to tighten their belts at the beginning.

    Just my thoughts.
    Paul
