I just wanted to make a quick post to let you know I'll no longer be posting at GPWA. The last few days there has been behaviour exhibited that I personally don't find acceptable. I don't want any misinterpretation on this front - while I don't completely agree with the way the admin team here run their forum, I do have a great deal of respect for them and this community and wish both every success in the future.

I don't agree with your decision to leave but I respect it. Its sad that mud can be slung and nothing done about it. I too enjoyed your knowledgeable posts and will miss your input on the minor issues clear up to the major issues.

I agree with both contradictory posts: that leaving means that the other side wins and that sometimes it is better to leave and not lose time and energy.

I also do not agree with the ideology of admins who "run the forum neutrally". Because there is nothing like neutrality. If the equal space is given to everyone, then the forum is as useless as democracy and the good ideas are lost mixed with white noise.

However I understand people who run forum in this way, because to be active admin/mod is extremely difficult and doing this for years or decades means for mods/admins total mental exhaustion.

It is your decision and battle, as always.

I too must post in support of ThePoog and his posts.

I have sent a more personal post in private with my thoughts, but I will also publicly state here that it is my sincere desire that we can convince you to stay active here.

It is quite obvious by the posts of support that both you and your posts have personally had an impact on others and this alone (I hope) may be enough to at least reconsider your position.

Please do not let some of the shortcomings of the gpwa (some of which I personally responsible for) affect your own interactions with the community as a whole.
