    Default Google adwords UK

    Hi,

If someone can give me some help that would be super!

I've attempted to signup to google adwords but as I don't reside in the UK (do own a .co.uk domain that I'll use for the adwords), I get through writing my add & then are advised that google don't accept words like: gambling, casino and so on.

The thing is I know if you do a google.com search adwords for gambling sites don't show, but, if you do the same search over at google.co.uk adwords are displayed for gambling sites

Obviously google sniffs your location, but I would have thought that there would be safe guards in place to allow someone to promote to a location within the google network that approves such adverting. Or have I got it wrong

    Thanks

I tryed to submit my site and i'm in the UK and it got declined, there was a way to get your ad listed for a few days but i think that loophole was fixed. Most of the sites that come up for gambling terms here in the uk are sites offering tips and strategies, there not actually casino portals. I persume the way these sites are working is once someone enters there email to receive there tips/strategies they then get a mailer sent with links to the casinos. While there is a little uncertainty regarding gambling laws here in the uk, it is not illegal to gamble at online casinos so i don't see why not they don't allow uk sites to advertise uk casinos.

I tried a new site for Adwords recently, it got rejected as well.

The site mainly had game rules and strategies but there were two links on it for playing online backgammon and so they wouldn't let it in.

Searching in Google.co.uk shows a lot of gambling related domains. I haven't a clue how they do it. I've tried a few different approaches without any luck.

I also agree that not allowing ads in the UK is plain daft as it's not illegal over here.

    Thanks for the input chaps

It's beyond daft Doolally, this is what really frustrates me about this game.
