SEO question

[casinobosscanada]

Hello,

I'm new to the affiliate world and SEO. I've got the question: why am I not getting backlink from some websites? I mean for example I added some article with link to my website on medium, quora, any forums and many more websites. After a few weeks it happens nothing, no indexed, i don't even get nofollow one. Like I wouldn't add anything! Why? On some websites like directories I get backlink within a few hours. Please help!

The most likely answer is because these specific websites are simply choosing not to give you any backlinks as they don't find your information relevant and beneficial to them.

This site explains in detail how backlinks work:

The answer is that your SEO tool is not exhaustive. It does not show all real backlinks.

How are you checking them?

[Lant]

maybe they think that the text is not very good and do not want to convey the reference weight
How do you watch links?

These sites can also block SEO tools' crawlers from accessing them, this way they can greatly reduce server loads. It's quite important for sites of such sizes.

What you can do, is see if google cached your link. E.g. type in a URL with your link on it and then click on the dropdown arrow next to the search result to check the caching date of the URL. If it's fresh, you should see your link on the cached version of the page.

See here - https://webcache.googleusercontent.c...&ct=clnk&gl=ee - this page has been cached today, so most of the links that were put here yesterday and today have already been counted by google crawler.

Hey, sure, could you bring some details here?

Just keep working at it. Hopefully, you'll see results after a year.

These sites have thousands of pages, so could take time for Google to index. Normally I would just wait, but if you are in a hurry, build a backlink to the page you posted a backlink to, should speed things up

You need to build trust and relevance first

[willterry]

Try to leave some comments (5-7) under popular posts on medium so this way Google will crawl you public Medium profile and then your blog posts

Works like a magic!

hi, to check backlinks precisely you can use Ahrefs

[mapleslot]

Sometimes it takes time for Google to index the pages, especially considering that these sites are big and have thousands of new articles each day. So take your time with it. Also try to have your account as active as possible.
