I have been waiting for this for ages, since the Covid-19 the serps have been a mess with returns of the cookie cutter sites dominating high positions with almost copycat content across all sites, today seen a massive shakeup

i noticed huge spikes today, every core update i notice immediately.. i then saw bouncing every couple of hours.. but its a biig shake up no doubt.

I actually noticed some big movement yesterday for a site - that would explain it then...

I got 3X more traffic yesterday than the trailing week average. That would explain it. Of coarse, it's a very small sample size. lol But it does seem like something is hapenning. These are web search clicks, I removed the other sources of traffic.

Why would posting WuFlu related articles have anything to do with anything? It is the topic most on people's minds and there have been lots of gambling related news stories related to it...

Checked today's overall traffic and it is up a solid single digit % w-o-w. Will check it daily and see what happens.

Yep I noticed this one yesterday and saw a mini jump in all rankings and thought I may fair well from it. Woke up to traffic 35% down, cheers Google.

Exactly the same has happened to me, then it always creeps back to the same level it was before.

I’m hoping that’s the case but it’s not looking good for me at the moment. I was improving well before the update as well so got to see how the next week or so goes, but I’m concerned at the moment and it’s hard to be motivated when it’s happening. I use the faq schema on quite a few of my pages and google has removed them from my search results. Still big shifts going on I think, got everything crossed that 35% comes back.

Yes the majority of it has gone from all sites that used it. I did wonder about the FAQ because you would have 3 sites using it ranking 1, 2, and 3 and it would take up a huge amount of space as it shows the first 3-4 questions. Maybe it will come back for 1 or 2 sites who knows. Lots of stuff still dancing around for me at the moment, literally got everything crossed.

FAQ schema is meant for business websites to address questions about their products and services, not something affiliates would put in about gambling on X. They have been warning not to over use it for a bit now. I've avoided using FAQ schema because it seemed like something that would be abused, and that's proving to be true it looks like?

FAQ schema is meant for business websites to address questions about their products and services, not something affiliates would put in about gambling on X. They have been warning not to over use it for a bit now. I've avoided using FAQ schema because it seemed like something that would be abused, and that's proving to be true it looks like?

I hadn’t seen the warnings about that. I did see the guidelines but noticed that several affiliates had been placing links to casinos within their FAQ which was a no no. May have to think about removing mine now if they are going to be an issue with regard to ranking.
