What exactly are you curing? How do you know you have a problem when nothings happened? How many penalised sites have you cured before they've even had a penalty? How many businesses have you analysed link profiles for and fixed without a rank drop?

If you read back the advice I offered, you'd notice I told the guy to load his disavow file READY for the next update.

The difference with my site is, I've fixed numerous sites that have been penalised by both manual intervention and algorithmic penalties, I know what I'm doing and I now if I do get hit by a penalty I can fix it.

Some interesting responses. I'm still unsure whether to go for it and start disavowing on one domain that is doing very well in the searches but has picked up a few crappy spam links recently.
