Is Google+ helpful to increasing website traffic?

I opened an account Google+ before 1 year to spread awareness about my product or services. Only 10 followers in my account. Is Google+ helpful to increasing website traffic? How to increase website traffic through Google+. Please help me.

I hardly ever get any hits on our G+ posts. Subsequently, we rarely ever use it. Google isn't pushing G+ that much anymore either so...

Google+ works like every other social tool out there. If you want to get more people to your content, you need to interact and share it. Just creating it and letting it be discovered allot is almost impossible.

Work it like a contact database. Think of yourself has a sales person and connect, interact and eventually close. Share the content you have and try to get it out there, on other pages, on social media even your friends, every contact you get is your web increasing. Reach out to those 10 you a have and delight them if you can, you will make them a spokesperson for your services and they will eventually share it.

There are a lot of google related products and communities and google+ has the advantage of being free and easy to use.
You shouldn’t only use google+ but think of it has a part of something bigger.
