Google - Up down - up down - why?

So my one website will appear in Google search results at a decent position then all of the sudden disappear from the results then reappear the next day or so. This has happened about 3 times now. Anyone have an idea why? Or if this has happened to them before? I always get a little anxious when it disappears hoping it will return. So far it always has but I have no idea why this is happening. In the past I have seen positions shift from time to time like this but never totally disappear.

I personally think Google must have at least 2 different databases or search result algos or something because it seems from time to time a totally different search result will appear. In fact I have even seen where I have updated my page title and the new title will appear in the search results and then a few hours later or the next day the old title will appear. That is really why I think they must have two different servers or databases.

Being paranoid as I am, I am thinking on one of the servers or databases something has happened to my website because in the past in has never disappeared and had to be in both at close to the same search position.

Google, their databases as well as their algos are in constant change and adjustment.

Whether they are rolling through some updates now or not only time will tell.

With some of the major blocking that has been going on world wide, this could be a possible factor for some rank adjustments.

The serps have been constantly changing these last few days for some very competitive keywords. A lot of blackhat sites appeared on the first page yesterday and disappeared within 24 hours. There is something definitely going on there. Perhaps google is in the middle of some major update.

I am getting spam sites I my google news alerts again. It happened today but the moz cast was normal

Either Google is punishing you for promoting Lock Poker as long as you did or they are in the middle of pushing out a major update.

I believe both of the above statements should be true, but the latest statement is true --- talk of a major update of some sort.

Online18 and I were just talking about how much It has been fluctuating. It is too early to worry in your case I think. One thing a lot of seo's have noticed is this is happening to Newley indexed pages, only to have them return. Three days seems to be the mark. It's like a safety sandbox where the sand is made of money.

I can always tell an update by my retail site sales. Feb sales were 2x what they are historically and I mean 3-4 years work of comparison data. March dropped a little and April which historically is a strong month has been dismal.

I also noticed a big drop in clicks this year from CR/RA, as far as I can tell, this looks to be related to a loss in ranking.

Truth be told, its too unpredictable these days, especially relying on [google] organic traffic, although its easier said than done, affiliates (especially usa affiliates) with not too many options really need a new marketing plan.

As far as data centers go there are many worldwide. There are tool sites that allow you to see where you rank on several data centers for a given kw. Haven't used one in a few years so how good they these days I can't say.
