That is quite long for reading an article and for what I think, I'm good on that one. If they will consider some frequent update and have a good write-up, I guess the challenge is on my "bucket list". Good share buddy!
This update would be a setback for websites that have not been updated since a long time. It is good, now at least they will realize the importance of updating the content...

I think a lot of longer tail results will be better suited to static content anyway, personally. Interesting to see Google going for fresher content, but still not having the Twitter firehose thing running. Keeping sites fresh and having some content that updates regularly has always been a concern for anyone wanting to rank well anyway, it's certainly something I've always built into my sites in some form or another.
