Google's debuts +1 button

[vinism]

Google has unveiled its "+1" service, which is similar to Facebook's "like" button. If you find a search result, ad, or (eventually) website that you like, just hit the "+1" button. The next time one of your Google friends -- chat buddies and contacts, for instance -- pulls up a the same search result, the fact that you gave it a "+1" will appear right in the search results.

For more on the new service, check out the Google Retail Advertising Blog.
