    Default Google's deindexing problem

Started Saturday. It seems that Google is randomly deindexing and then reindexing URLs. This is includes well known sites as well.

Was reported on Twitter and John Mu from Google responded

Sorry -- We had a technical issue on our side for a while there -- this should be resolved in the meantime, and the affected URLs reprocessed. It's good to see that the Inspect URL tool is also useful for these kinds of cases though!

    https://twitter.com/JohnMu/status/1114486110284124160 -- John Mu's statement

    Thread about it: https://www.seroundtable.com/google-...dex-27369.html

This looks to be continuing and so far has not been corrected.

Are others here facing similar problems?

Yes, I had my second biggest page on my site (by traffic) deindexed for about 10 hours on April 5th, I decided to add my site to search console to see if there were any manual penalty notices, but nothing so got a bit worried. All fine now though, and no drop in rankings.

The issue is global and recurring. The indexed pages come back for a few hours and then disappear again. Keep an eye on consistency.

My sites have been experiencing this for many years. One day I have 4,000+ pages indexed. Another day, I have 680 pages indexed. I have no idea why google does this.

Had the same issue and resubmitted some the affected pages yesterday with the url inspection tool as advised. Now i am ranking for these keywords again as before, but according to different sources the issue in NOT fixed yet (see the comments):
    https://www.seroundtable.com/google-...dex-27369.html
Since URL inspection tool seems to have worked for me i would recommend it to get the traffic back.

They have also reported this last week:
    April 3, 2019

For most enhancement reports, data is now being collected from more pages than previously reported. Because of this, you might see an increase in issues and affected items/pages on these reports.

Same here our website dropped of Google Saturday and thankfully came back last night. All rankings are back and now appears to be back to normal for the time being.

Go to the webmaster panel, manually add the main page to the index.
after then the whole sitemap. It helped me and there are no problems.

I have the same problem and this would explain why my overall traffic and conversions are down so far this month as opposed to the start of the previous month. Just sad.

It seems to be confirmed on their end - should be back in place by now though:

    April 5, 2019

Because of internal management of our Search index, some pages of your websites might have been dropped from our index for a period of a few days without any action on your part. The matter is currently being revolved, no action from your side is needed.

I have started a new website from the begin of the month. First thing was to submit the sitemap.xml from the Google webmaster tools. Till now i have only 5 links from 120 total indexed in Google. But yesterday they were 7. It is not big difference, but can be the reason for that the same thing the guys mentioned in this post ?
How do you think, is it normal so slowly to be indexed from Google - 7 links for almost 10 days. The website is already linked from 2-3 bigger websites too. I think this is the first time that my website is so slowly indexed and i am wondering if there is any reason about that ?

I'm hearing a lot of people saying they are experiencing fluctuations and issues. One theory is that this is all leading up to to a major update.
