PageRank updates are old SEO... Very old SEO.

the PageRank number means nothing when it comes to ranking in the SERP.
Don't worry about PageRank, it is a waste of time. Worry about getting real human eyeballs on your site.

The main reason google made the tool bar PageRank (the little green bar) worthless as a metric to measure the traffic a page receives or the ranking it has in the SERP... was because people were pricing links and gaming links based on what the PageRank was.

Google really really hates it when people sell links based on PageRank...

Yes, a lot of people seem to base their pricing on page rank - so if you're in the business of selling links, toolbar PR might matter. But for the rest of us it's pretty insignificant. Although it can be a quick indicator of whether or not a site has picked up a severe penalty (eg: if the toolbar PR is greyed out or drops significantly).

But to answer the OP's question, last update was in November (according to a quick google search) and they're pretty much once per quarter like clockwork - so I would say it's due the second week of Feb. Try not to get too hung up on it though!

Like Baldy says.. some people do use PR as a way to price links.

But why would anyone buy a link based on a worthless valuation?

I mean it is bad enough that just buying links can get you penalized in google, but then to get ripped off on the price of the links as well... That seems just a bit much to me.

Although you shouldn't be chasing PageRank I would say its still a very useful metric in link building. If you want to learn a little more about PageRank then I would recommend this video on seomoz. Google this: "what is googles pagerank good for whiteboard friday". Sorry I can't post a link as I need to make 5 posts first! Granted its a couple of years old now but still very relevant.

Yes I dont worry about it too much but I lstil like it when my PR goes up. Makes feel like I accomplished something. Traffic is more important as long as it s the good traffic. Traffic you want and traffic that converts.

It looks like they did a secondary update. I made out OK with the secondary. I actually launched a site less that 6 months ago and already have a PR2! Whoo hoo. Know PR doesnt mean much but I still like it!

Thats it Travis, I had my one and only site increase to PR1 which im happy about, seeming i only did it in November. I have only just started out, looking to make a few more sites soon. Dont want to bite of more than i can chew though Im still learning and want to get this one doing well first.
