    Smile GPWA Exhibiting at Pubcon

I'm pleased to announce that the Gambling Portal Webmaster Association will be exhibiting at Webmaster Worlds' PubCon 2006 to be held in Las Vegas November 14 to 17, 2006. The PubCon convention will be held in the Las Vegas convention center at the same time as the Global Gambling Expo (G2E). You can see the list of exibitors at www.pubcon.com/exhibitors.htm, and you can see complete conference details at http://www.pubcon.com.

The last PubCon convention held in Boston earlier this year, had over 1,300 attendees. My understanding is that a significant portion of the attendees are involved in promoting online gaming, so I'm looking forward to the increased awareness of the GPWA we should generate through participating in the show.

As part of attending the show, we are creating a new tradeshow booth to promote the GPWA. We are also working on a new brochure about the GPWA that will be distributed to all attendees when they pick of their admission badges and and also distributed from the GPWA booth.

This is the first of many efforts we plan to undertake to increase awareness of the GPWA with the objective of growing the number of active members.

I will be there for G2E but Pubcon seems a bit pricey.

I'll have to check into it more.

Pubcon works much like G2E. Admission to the actual conference sessions is expensive. However, you can get into the exhibit hall at Pubcon for free with a G2E exhibit hall pass, and you can get G2E exhibit hall passes for cheap or for free. I'll do another post later about how to get free G2E exhibit hall passes from us, so that you can get into both exhibit areas.

It is certainly not to late to go, although it is too late to register in advance (the last day was October 31st). Pre-registration was free for the exhibit halls, which is mostly what the show is about (there many many hundreds of exhibits). But registration at the door is not that expensive - $75 for access to the exhibit halls for all three days. And, as I mentioned before, your G2E pass will get you into the Webmaster World conference exhibit hall for free.

Information about the G2E conference is available at www.globalgamingexpo.com and information about the webmaster world conference is available at www.pubcon.com.
