GPWA Hiring a Program Assistant
I'm very pleased to announce that we have made a decision to add an additional full-time employee to the GPWA staff.
We feel that to continue to support and accelerate the growth of the organization we need to be able to respond more rapidly to membership and seal applications, and properly support new programs as they are launched. The new position will be in our office in Newton, Massachusetts. The job description, which we will be posting on several job boards today is shown below. Please let anyone who might be interested in the position know we are hiring.

Program Assistant Job Description
Overview
The Gambling Portal Webmasters Association (www.GPWA.org) has established a new position to play a lead role in the growth of the organization and its programs. Key organization initiatives are focused on increasing transparency and advancing professional responsibility within the online gambling industry. The successful candidate will demonstrate clear communication and investigative skills, a passion for supporting the organization’s goals, a strong computing background, and an interest in online gaming.
Responsibilities
The Program Assistant has broad responsibility for the successful implementation of the association’s initiatives. Specific responsibilities include:
• Reviewing websites of prospective members and Seal of Approval applicants for adherence to the GPWA Code of Conduct
• Communicating with webmasters to clarify and seek corrections to Code of Conduct violations
• Conducting reviews of portal websites to describe and classify their content
• Maintaining directory of members and portal websites
• Performing forum administration and participating in the forums
• Other information-gathering and administrative projects as they arise
• Participating in the strategic planning process for the association and in the design and development of the association’s programs

Headquartered in Newton, MA, the Gambling Portal Webmasters Association (GPWA) is an international professional community building mutual collaboration among webmasters and the affiliate programs they work with. Activities include an annual conference, a weekly email newsletter, a Seal of Approval program, and an active discussion forum.
