GPWA Site Redesign

I'm pleased to announce that earlier today we deployed a revision to the GPWA website. I expect this will be the first of many revisions - we just wanted to make some improvements right away.

You will notice that we have simplified the navigation somewhat - there is now just a single navigation bar. And we've featured the forums in the main navigation bar so that they are more visible.

We've also added a forum search box on the home page, and have featured the formums with a link to them in the center of the home page. Before it was not obvious to me that the forums were the most important part of the site by looking at the home page, and so I suspect this was often the case for new site visitors.

We've also added a section at the bottom of the home page with links to recent legislative and legal documents.

Lastly, there were broken links and links that did not lead to interesting material before, and so we cleaned things up on that front.

Anyway, I hope everyone feels this is a good first step in making the site more usable, especially for new visitors.

I have lots of thoughts for further improvements, and I'm sure you do to. Please let me know your thoughts so they can be considered for one of the future rounds of improvement we make to the site.

It looks very neat and clean, I wish you all the luck in the world if anyone can bring gpwa to where it needs to be I know you can.

First, I'd like to apologize since it appears that there is information I needed from Casinoglen about some past business relationships that I have not yet received. My previous understanding was that all obligations in this area for links in exchange for payments received were completed, but, unfortunately, I had previously received another comment from another member similar to yours via a private message. If you can send me a pm with the details of your arrangement with casinoglen, I will track things down and set them right.

I'd also ask that anyone else who has an issue like this please sent me a pm so I can follow-up with you directly. It is important to me that everyone be treated fairly in this transition.

The links, when we tried that, were paid until June. The only one that was to remain was that of CCJ. We weren't going to continue that after expiration.

Micahel I like the redseign, however, there is a bit of a cross browser issue. In my new role to educate people about Macs and OS X, please see the following screenshots, first in Firefox, then Safari and finally the other is the same in both.

Thanks for the feedback. We've made changes and our testing here shows that they correct the issues you reported (we do have a mac for testing purposes, but had not tested the site yet ourselves at the time of your post). Let me know if you agree the issues you reported have been fixed.
