I think a prominent former Senator like Alfonse D'Amato joining the cause will certainly help us in the long run. While I don't think he will be able to get this bill overturned by simply snapping his fingers like many are hoping for; but more importantly he will bring to light the corrupt manner in which the UIGEA was passed in the first place.

Hopefully his involvement, along side other politicians like Barney Franks, as well as the charges being dropped against the Neteller guys will also slow down the DOJ and any other government entity trying to go after gambling operators.

When you look at the big picture, the whole UIGEA was not a law passed or supported by the U.S. government as an entire body. It was an agenda that a few politicians were able to sneak through in a late night end of session vote.

The article sounds promising for the future of online gaming.....Hopefully we can see it come back to the US sometime in the near future....
