Greetings Everyone!
Hi all,
I am all new to affiate marketing although I have been working with internet marketing for a few years.
I hope I can make a european based affiliate site, so I am very happy I found this forum. Many of the threads have already helped me a great deal, however, I have a few more newbie questions I hope you can help me with:
1) Do you need to be a registered business before I can join an affiliate program?
2) Can I generate any revenue by advertising for rention promotion or is it only when a new user sign up for a new program?
3) From an SEO perspective. Does it make sense to have several sites from the very beginning?
4) What is the reason geo/location tacking is important. I assume it is because not all sites are legal everywhere, but where can I find a list which states what is legal where?
5) I would love to have someone I could evaluate strategy and milestones with. Do you have any advice about how I can find a mentor/coach? (please message me if you might be interested)
Thanks in advance.
Cheers P.

1) You can sign up for most programs as an individual or as a company, what you decided to do legally for tax reasons has more to do with where you reside and should help determine whether or not to incorporate or act as a sole proprietor or not.
2) No you can not earn revenue on playters already signed up as this would not be fair to other affiliates nor to the operators directly. You will earn revenue on new players YOU sign up for the properties you promote.
3) There are many debates about whether to run one site or multiple sites, read through the forums here as this was discussed recently and a bit of insight from a number of members.
4) Ge targeting can be helpful so you can direct potential players to properties that are more targeted for the visitor. As an example, if the visitor s from the US sending them to a Playtech or Micrograming property will not gain a conversion as they do not take US players.
5) Read as much as you can here at the GPWA since there is a WEALTH of information contained within the threads, some dating back more than 15 years so only a little over 500,000 posts to read.

GPWA is a great source of information for any new affiliate you'll likely find everything you need here but if you dont feel free to ask your affiliate managers at he programs you've signed up with or are going to sign up with.
Most will be glad to assist you with your information as if you start small maybe one day you'll be as big as some of the affiliates on here.
My advice is treat the small guys as you would any big guys because you just never know so never be afraid to ask questions of the people who are meant to support you and your business.
