Armageddon Saturday - May 21, 2011

It's been much "doom and gloom" around here for us recently, and here comes this "evangelist" who is proclaiming that Saturday, May 21 will be "Armageddon" for humanity. -

This guy Camping doesn't say what time this will occur. Whether it's New Zealand time or Hawaii time on Saturday, so I think it's time to speculate on what form this "doomsday" will take.

GammaRay Burst - which would vaporize the atmosphere, we'd never know it was coming, and basically eveything but the bugs would be zapped!

Yellowstone Super-Volcano/Krakatau/Santorini eruption - USA *or environs) would be toast, and rest of world in darkness for years. Winter year round for, but rest of world would be able to recover in time.

Asteroid/Comet strike - haven't heard about any asteroids in the neighborhood, but it could happen. If a big one strikes the earth, fate of the dinos basically. Everything over 50 lbs. will be obliterated one way or another. A comet would most likely explode in the atmosphere and wipe out lots of ppl, but most would survive. Haven't heard about any comets nearby, but it could happen.

H-Bomb - well, it could happen. Who knows what some whackjob would do, never mind if it kills everybody, including the ones they are supposedly fighting to save.

Personnally, I'm more concerned about the "end of my world", since that's more relevant than the "end of the world" as it were. But I'm one of those who believe that all that will ever exist was created "in the begining" and always has been, and always will be, in one form or another. So....why worry about what can't be changed???

Now, back to our regularly scheduled programming....

We are already on the 21st down here (9am) - and it's dawned a beautiful winters day.
So absolutely NO sign of an apocalypse here.

Just another fake prediction. Goodness knows why people fall for this. If its biblical the bible clearly says NO ONE knows when it will happen. Only the creator who ever that may be.

The world was supposed to end so many times from 2000 onwards lol If it doesn't end next year on December 21st, then it will probably never end

Apparently some people quit their jobs and spent their life savings because they truely believed it would end on May 21st. Would be so funny to know one of them, you would be teasing them for the rest of their lives lol
